I think it would be groundbreaking if Switchboard could be integrated with Blogger.

If I'm thinking right, implementing this should be fairly easy. Allow me to share how I think this could be implemented:

Right now when you click "Comments" under a post in Blogger, the link looks like this:

http://www2.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=6864645736383964039&postID=5212489249342228640

Now, by editing the Blogger template html, this link could be changed to point to something like this (or some variation of this):

http://yourname.touum.net/comment.g?blogID=6864645736383964039&postID=5212489249342228640

Every entry in the RSS feed of any Blogger blog contains both the "blogID" and the "postID" (the two elements in the link above). So once Switchboard implements its planned "discussions from feeds" feature, it can be taken one step further by extracting the "blogID" and "postID" from entries in the feed and using it to make the above hypothetical link work by having it point to your blog post's corresponding post on Switchboard (that was created from your feed). So the following link (or a variation of it) would work, and users who click on "Comments" under your post will be directed here instead of Blogger's comments section:

http://yourname.touum.net/comment.g?blogID=6864645736383964039&postID=5212489249342228640

I know it probably isn't as easy as it sounds, and I'm no expert, but I thought I'd share that idea in case it comes of use.

Wordpress already has capability to be integrated with forums, but it is impossible to do that with Blogger currently, so if you can get this feature to work, it would be a huge hit. Besides, ever since Google bought over Blogger, it has gone through an amazing transformation and I only expect it to get bigger and better - so adding Blogger integration would really be a cutting edge thing to do.
